I’m not sure if it is a trend or just a big group of photographers and artists trying to experiment with this new “color liquids” technique. The first set of photographs I saw came from Kim Keever while reading articles on my flipboard app. To produce them, he drops tints of color into water and takes photographs while the liquids are mixing inside a 200-gallon fish tank. There’s something intriguing and powerful about them that I can’t find anywhere else. Would it be somehow related to the fact that he’s a former thermal engineer for NASA and its obviously knowledgeable in scientific and experimental projects? Not sure, but what I know for sure is that they’re THE BEST photographs of this kind that I’ve ever seen.
